February 6, 2019 deen Times out ~: ~::i~ The Aberdeen Lady Tigers fell to the West Side Lady Pirates Tuesday, Jan. 29, in Aberdeen during the play in game for district. The final score was .West Side 43 and Aberdeen 41. t The Lady Tigers started well making 15 points in the first quarter with West Side only scoring 10 points. The second quarter Aberdeen added six point to their score while West Side added seven. The Lady Tigers were in the lead at halflime 21-17. Aberdeen struggled to make their shots in the third quarter and only made five points while West Side made 12. The Lady Tigers outscored West Side in the final quar- ter 15 to 14, but West Side retained the lead they got in the third quarter. "West Side played well. We shot the ball poorly all night. We didn't make any three pointers for the first time this season. We were 3-14 from the free throw line. West Side was 9-20 from thefree throw line. West Side's Nance hit two really big threes in the fourth quarter. Our girls. played hard. We did a much better job on the boards to- night but our shot abandoned us. We're young. We'll work hard this off-season and come back strong next year," coach Ryan Wahlen said. This loss put the Lady Tigers out of the district tour- nament. They ended the season with a 7-15 record.
